Hello all.
I recently bought a nice M1 Garand, and I’ve decided to take up the handloading / reloading hobby.
My timing is piss poor with the availability of reloading supplies (primers and powder).

anyhow, I set up this Lee press I bought and I decided to modify the handle a bit.
time will tell, if it’s cumbersome or comfortable. I couldn’t help myself, when the old Hurst handle caught my eye while setting up the press.

Those old rifles like old Mopars are more than a sum of their parts. Feels like they have a Soul, their History and contribution to America add to this.

Reloading components have also been scarce here In the NorthWest, nshelves started going bare when Antifa got busy and got worse with covid. Seems components are first going towards GOV contracts.

Can you buy reloading supplies where you are located?? None near me since Covid started.

Nice, Lee is a good press , I like the T handle lol.
My old one was a Herters.
For that 30-06 snatch up LC , (lake city)head stamp brass when you see it.
Good stuff.

You can get anything at our local gun shows, but all the retailers are out of everything.

Reloading is an awesome hobby. There's a quality to it that find therapeutic.

Just remember that it demands 100 percent of your attention. Organization is very important.

Unlike wrenching on cars, alcohol should be a strict no-no.

Nice idea with the handle. Yeah, I’m having trouble finding reloading supplies too. Can’t find ammo and can’t find bullets and cases. Bad situation.

I have a Herters press. It’s 50 years old if its a day. I have .223, .22-250, and .264 mag
I got it and all the supplies from the guy that reloaded ammo for my grandpa and my dad.
I have not sat down to load for quite some time. I went nuts about 10 years ago and loaded up almost a life time of .264 and .22-25. I guess when I bought my first AR I been shooting a lot more .223

I've had my Lee for about 25 years now still works great. Get a set of neck sizing dies if you can, helps your accuracy

Proper headspace is important in any autoloader. Full length sizing will be necessary to insure extraction.

Still have my Dillon set up but haven't loaded anything in a while. Always enjoy the process but be sure to pay attention. Seen some bad results from sloppy loads. Years ago I used to shoot close to 1000 rounds a week. Blew through some supplies but had some fun. Couldn't afford to do that now.
