I recently picked up this 1972 Plymouth Satellite Sebring Plus. It’s the first EV2 Sebring plus I’ve seen and it came with all the goodies and 2 build sheets. Rally dash, slap stick console and buckets, 150mph speedo, full vinyl top… the only change I’ve made so far is taking off the rally rims for my slots. The lower section of the car has been repainted at some point to black instead of silver which I’m told is the factory colour for the lower rockers.

I’ve been spending time cleaning it up and polishing the paint, interior and driving the car as often as I can.

Wow, sweet Satellite Sebring Plus! Nice Fury too...
Welcome from Pittsburgh, PA!

Welcome Sir, from the middle of the mitten. Enjoy your car!

Nice ! It's Fun to bring the paint back and see results.

Welcome, and awesome great car ! The SSP was the follow-up, if you will, to the Sport Satellite.

Quick update on my Satellite; found quite a bit more rust than I was expecting in the rockers and lower quarter panels so decided it’s a good time to redo the body on the car. I was off with Covid for 2 weeks and it gave me the perfect window to get it done.

I’m happy with the progress so far and should have it painted within the next week.

Absolutely super !!!

very nice ! and i see it has all the correct body trim, that stuff is like hens teeth, i believe 1 year only and aluminum, most didnt survive, i hope you plan to reinstall !

and yes, the bottom of a 72 SSP was argent, regardless of body color

Made some very good progress on the satellite in the past few weeks. Ready to reassemble everything and back on the road. Happy with the outcome for a 1 month clean up and repaint.
