I got this for free a few days ago. They just wanted it gone out of the yard.
It has a running 360 engine with a (727 trans I believe)
It will crank and run under its own power (With helper gas tank) but needs tires (16.5" tire) It's been sitting for 25 years ++
Is there any value here? What should I do with it? Part it? scrap it? save it?

Nice! My buddy had one back in the early 80’s. Slant/TF. It must have been a tradesman. No side windows, or back windows. It did have diamond shaped port holes in the very back. They were smoked. It was that dark green like F8 that was on 50 Mopars for every other color. :D

A couple months ago a buddy of mine ran into the same sort of deal. Rusty van but a running 360. He put a gas tank in it and washed it and took pictures. It sold quick for 6 grand. How, I'm not sure. Bunch of hippies in my town I guess.

Unfortunately, I see vehicles like these vans, C bodies and station wagons in the same category. Lots of people like them but few will step up and buy it.
I hate to see one scrapped if it can be made roadworthy.

Looks like a functional class b camper van. What does it have for extras? If it is not rusty, and is a 200 , 300, 250, 350 it should be equipped to pull a car and car trailer. Easy to get 16” rims for it. If it is all sun beat and plastic stuff is crisp, then the value drops. If it has a fridge, stove, toilet, sink roof a/c that is a bonus. All the information should be on the underside of the hood. Advertise it.

More. We made several trips South, and they always had a place for us in the campgrounds, and lots of towns we could angle park on the street. We were shorter than lots of 4 door trucks.

I had a RUSTY 77 dodge streetvan I kept cast iron the 3-speed with overdrive Trans, the 318 engine and the cool oem pivoting front seat pedestals. I wish I could find a early 70's,full size Plymouth van. You just don't see the full size Plymouth vans anymore.

Hmmm, it's a tough one. It looks saveable to me, I like it I think it's cool. I would say if it's NOT rotted that bad which I assume it's not because you're from Alabama, then maybe make a 70's street rod or hippie type van. You know a crazy paint job, side pipes that type of thing.

Scrub it down, spray can it all white, get it running ok and put it on Craigslist. Lots of dreamers buy these things.

just wash it up real nice, clean out the interior, and post it up on the fb van groups, mine sold within an hour.
i wouldnt bother with craigslist,go for the money on fb,make a ridiculous price and watch what happens.

They are getting collectible. Merry Miller conversion. Do a little research first.

Very nice! I hope find one near me eventually.

There's a Woodstock FB group. Lots of old hippies there still trying to regain their youth. And many of them have money.
