Don't trust anything but Mopar used/NOS. Got a few NOS from McCannix awhile back. Had to replace one installed by engine rebuilder (local Mopar race shop) for daughter's 69 Charger. Don't know what they put in there but it wore about 1/4" in 300mi. Did a couple oil changes and hoped oil filter got the shavings. Has run fine since..with an NOS fuel pump pushrod.

Hmm, I'm wondering if this is my issue. There's a distinct tapping noise when my Satellite is warmed up and I've gone all over the engine with a stethoscope and the only place I hear the noise is on the fuel pump body.

I have a box of these things in the attic. Original take outs from countless core engines I’ve disassembled.

Would carbon fiber hold up?

Ceramic would be great at both ends but the cost isn't worth it.

I’m back home and all your fuel pump push rods will go out in Monday’s mail.
