Operation: My new Hemi Charger 500, 5th one built of initial 6.

Your attention to detail sir, is inspiring. I took a ton of pics of every stamping and mark I could find and am putting them back on to part that got a total redo. It's not going to be as awesome as this car, but for me....its pure gravy.

Hello All,,
Been awhile.......... Hope everyone are doing well.....

Installed the rear housing and leaf springs.

Then messed with the rear window interior headliner attach brackets.. You can see that Creative Industries really flew by the seats of their pants to get these out the door. Nothing that a handful of washers and screws can't solve. Yo can see the before when I disassembled the car prior to paint, then afterwards..

Messing with inside the car..

Wiper arm assembly, brake pedal assembly, vent box, etc.. Tried to keep all natural bare metal components that way, don't like painting items that are supposed to be bare to "give" that metal look. Repainted the letters of the parking brake release handle...

Touched off some painting details on the booster and installed it.. My shelves are getting thinner. Have to get the gold cad nut on the back plate yet.. Even have the correct master cylinder cap for the thing.

Probably the 1st time in nearly 40 years that the back of this car had a functioning taillamps. And have the proper 1095 taillamp bulb.. Hooked up my work bench power supply and voila, lights.. Coming along..

It looks like gloss clear on your e-brake pedal. If you use clear satin or clear suede, and then hit it immediately with a heat gun it will dry neutral. I used it as a finish coat of all my cast parts to keep from rusting. Car looks nice.

I have coated all my bare metal parts with an aircraft corrosion control product that eventually dries clear and gives the surface a natural look. I have used clear before, sometimes good long-term results, sometimes not..

Thanks for the input

Sounds like I am a bit behind on my technology.

Well, As they say, "they come and they go"... Well, such is the case of the Press Release C500. I recently came into a potential purchase of a mopar I like and placed a What-if-for-sale on Facebook. Well, low and behold I had a interested individual and he bought the car.... Soo,, the car will be finished by someone else. I'll be making the journey to pick up my next purple Mopar in the middle of the month.... I'll share once that happens....

I learned ALOT during the restoration of this 500, knowledge that will always be with me and have met some really nice individuals during the process....

It's officially gone now, boooo. I'm sad. That sucks but I hope the fellow who bought the car appreciates it as much as you did and joins up here to finish documenting the restoration. Best of luck with your new project!!

The new owner plans on finishing the car and possibly take it to next year's MCACN... I'll be there with the 'Bird, got a special invite this week and I'm pumped about not only going, but having my car there too...
