I'm finding out that an original upper hose is pretty much non-existent, so what hose are you using?

No idea but here is a decent picture of an original from a 66 Motor Trend road test of a 66 Hemi Dodge Coronet.

Looks like the same dang hose my 440 takes - or very similar?
all together 5-21-17.jpg

They're similar to the later b engine with 26" rad top hoses but the 66 thermostat housing points forward and makes the later hoses fit not quite right.

2806186 is 67 and later. And is nothing like the 66 hose

The 66.hose had a unique shape to it.

I think I got close with mine . Its an AC Delco hose pt# 22025M , Its not exact . But Im still looking for something closer .
Last I talked to him Tony D had / has an nos one. but at almost $500, I passed

Original has a slight dip in the center something like a shaker hood E body hemi does. Just not as dramatic of a dip

Noticed that too along with a couple other minor inconsistencies. Notice where the engine ground stop from the firewall goes. It’s from the Peterson Motor Trend photo archives of the early 66 Hemi Dodge convertible released to the press and featured in the magazine road test. Here is another one from it.

Mine came with a replacement with the correct number when I bought the car 5 years ago. It looked new then and still looks new (I also have the original). I don't know where the replacement was aquired from, though.

The original..does it have white or yellow ink stamped lettering?

I'll have to take a look. I'll get back to you in a couple of days after I get the chance.

That's probably the only alternative a 67 hose. Saw a guy on ebay advertise a NOS one but no numbers on it for like $300. The 66 P/N is 2658810.

Huh? That’s what mine is. The radiator connection end seems a bit long as it’s pressed against the fuel line but otherwise seems good. It’s no longer available?

I can only say I ordered one and got crap. Bought a new engine air filter in 1978 got an orange one. Think around 1980 ordered a 2nd got a black one. I'm not up to speed on repo parts do you know if it's real or repo?

Did a search of P/N and ebay had a Gates hose listed out of stock. AR67GTX one you have sure is nice.

I don’t know Fran. If I guessed I would say it was put on the car 15 - 20 years ago and used little since. Did they have a manufacturers date code on them?

edit: I suspect from the clear markings and such, that it’s a repro from some years ago.
