With The Three Kings heading Home, by a "Different Route", we thought it was time to secure the leftover fruitcakes. Prepared, and applied the "Preserver", so some evenings will provide a Nice "after dinner treat" !

You haven't lived until you've had MY fruitcake!
That's what they all say........
You do know there have only been a few hundred fruitcakes ever made. They are the original re-gift. I'm sure the last one that was given to me came over on the Mayflower. I ended the cycle and tossed it in the woods, and I'm pretty sure a black bear ate it. There were horrific sounds coming from the back forty for days, poor bastard.
I like Vandan's idea. Put a few ounces of brandy on it, set it on fire then drink the rest of the brandy!

:rofl::rofl::rofl:

My Wife has it dialed in, pretty good. Maybe some day we'll meet up, and try 'em out ! It's one of my favorites !

I've converted many fruitcake deniers with my mothers southern recipe. The photos of the OP have too much candied "mix". I don't use any raisins, orange peel, or pre-made fruit mix. My recipe has 1 1/2 lbs of pecans and I use really good ingredients, real butter and fresh local eggs.

With out any fruits in it its just a nut cake

Just FYI, many athletes rated fruit cake as the best sustained energy food source you can use. Good combination of fats, carbs and protein from the nuts. Kind of like a Cliff bar only better. If things hit the fan, a good fruit cake can come in really handy. Mine are made in a tube pan and weigh about 10lbs. I can also use it for home defense. :D

I volunteer my services as an independent taste tester.
The FBBO fruitcake challenge.

Wish I could post photos.
Some people flat out don't like candied fruit and it won't matter how good the cake is.

If I soak it in anything it's either Peach Brandy or Bourbon.

Well I'm not one of "those" people!
No worries, I don't need pics, you can just send the cake w/ either peach brandy or bourbon (you decide).
:D

I can send a slice but the whole cake would cost a fortune to ship. Also, the pecans alone are about $15. By the time I buy all the stuff it's almost $50. Also, I love it! I'm stingy!
