Hi from very cold and snowy Manitoba Canada

Welcome from equally cold and snowy Buffalo, NY. I love the wheels - its just that they make your ride look like a 60's Ford Super Stock.

Welcome from Missouri!! Very nice!!

Welcome from NY where it's cool and just a bit snowy.

Welcome. I was eyeing that baby up too, I think in kijiji if memory serves. You’ll have lots of excitement driving around in that, no shortage of power! Nice car

Welcome to FBBO from Ontario. That is a darn nice looking '66 Coronet. Plus a Hemi with a cross ram on it! I notice that someone has added Coronet 500 wheel well trim to it. It looks good on the black fender and breaks up all the black between fender and tire. You mentioned doing something about different rims and some members have offered their opinions. To this growing stack of pennies, I will add my $0.02. Although I like painted steelies and dog dishes on some cars ( I ran these on my own '67 R/T for a long time ), I have never been fond of them on dark cars. With black tires and dark rims with the dark body panels, there is just no contrast. The tires and rims tend to get swallowed up by the car. I much prefer the look that Richard Cranium has achieved on his '66 Belvedere on his thread, with TorqueThrusts and Bliuelines. 1966 is the only year that Dodge put these unique blue line tires on their Hemi cars. Again, my opinion only; your car. Picture of my R/T with Redlines and Jeg's Sport Torque wheels.

Hey Dave! thank u for your advice. I absolutely love your choice of wheels w/redlines. I have been torn on my options. Was thinking of Magnums however i think they may be a bit too blingy for this car. I want to maintain the respected stock monster look so thus my considering steelies and caps. I have even thought of painting the spokes on the Radirs to calm it down abit. Yours however have given me a whole new thought. Your thoughts?

Nice Coronet

welcome to FBBO

I never considered painting out the Radirs, but it could be a good option; maybe painting the spokes dark gray/granite or even satin black. If you decide to go with different rims altogether, Jeg's has free shipping to Canada if order is over $300.00US. I will post a picture of another wheel I plan to run on my '64 Polara. It is a one piece 15" X 7" aluminum rim that is made to resemble the old chromed steel Magnum 500 wheel. They are sold in Canada by Golden Leaf Automotive, though I got mine at a local swap meet, new in the box. I currently am running them on my R/T because one of the Coker redlines went bad on my other wheels. I plan on replacing my bad Coker and another one with a pair of similar looking Diamondback III's. I think the Magnum 500's will look better on my '64 because it already has a lot of shiny bling on it, plus bright red paint. Picture of my Polara is about 20 years old before latest refresh, with 14" Magnum 500's on it.
