What is F81 on fender tag?

Deck lid release remote.. but here's a thread on it saying it shows on a lot of Windsor built car tags that don't have said release...

The code is unknown for that application.
The Windsor plant (R in the VIN) seems to have had their own codes that do not match with other plants.

The Galen White book does list it as a "Deck release remote" whatever that means.

I have a push button inside of the glove box on my Super Bee. You push it and the trunk lid releases.
I have it disconnected from power. There is an electric release mechanism inside the trunk. I tend to think it is a mid to late 70s vintage mechanism that a previous owner installed on my car.
Apparently there was a factory remote trunk release option for the 71 models. I just don’t think mine is factory..

I believe C body could have it. I have a vacuum operated one from a 72 Fury. Has for a 71 RR, I don't think so.
