I don't hate new Camaros. I think some of the ZL1 track cars are insane. I just don't like losing one of the three American sports cars even if it is a Chebby.

Mustangs and Challengers are not doing that hot either. So what I should do is buy the last High HP gas-powered manual transmission version of each. Maybe let them depreciate for 5 years or so.

If you read that article, it mentions how Challenger sales moved up and even passed the Mustang. Hot enough for me.

maybe they should build a all new Electric Camaro like Ford did with the mustang . Then all the tree huggers will buy them and sales will go up . ??? maybe?

Could you imagine what a 50 year old electric car would be like to restore? Good luck with that! 440'

Charger outsold Camaro and Mustang combined. Can’t see out the windows of Camaro and looks like a transformer. Both competitors offer ragtops and even that didn’t help.
Challenger is Muscle, not Pony.

One of my oldest friends (a dyed in the wool Chevy freak) sold his 502 57 Chevy (his grandma's car) and his 69 Camero and purchased a used Challenger. He loves it! He also mentioned the Camero's lack of rear view.

I don't think stick cars will depreciate until our generation is gone!
when a toy gets to 50K+ sales are going to be lower! when I priced out a truck with my trucks build sheet and it came back over 100K/10yrs. ago my truck got a southern body panel replacemnt and paint!
just put a double din in it this week with reverse cam/bluetooth, 21century for me now!

chevy do not market their camaro like mopar and ford does,i have not seen any camaro tv commercials, you would think they would market their super camaros zl1 etc,but no they do not.

I have wanted to build a basic Challenger R/T with 6spd, tor red paint, and hood pins for the longest time, ever since the 2015 came out with the looks of the '71. But I drive way too much for a gen III hemi to be practical right now. Mopar made that car right for the target market and they are basically printing money with an ancient design compared to the Ford/Chevy.

The modern Challenger is great but the downsides are weight. If they ever made a factory T/A that was more than badging (lightweight and suspension) for a road course that would probably push me to get one immediately.

How much does the Camaro and the Mustang weigh? They all became pigs with all the safety equipment and the miles of wiring that's in them these days.

I have built a few GM's in my life and only driven Mopar daily drivers. These new Camaro's are a bigger pain in the *** to look out off than most any other car. The robotic angles make the car an eye sore to me. Transformer body style is more of a younger thing in my opinion and does nothing for me.

I had the 2017 ZL1, 50th anniversary car. That was by far the best car I've ever owned. Covid hit and I sold it.
Also, I will one day own a C8 ZO6

Now covid has reared it ugly ******* head. Talk about invasive.

I've seen different weights. This is from this site: https://carbuzz.com/compare/chevrolet-camaro-vs-dodge-challenger-vs-ford-mustang

Camaro on the left, Mustang on the right, Challenger in the center. This is for the absolute base models.

My challenger is the best running and driving 3850 lb car I own,or could own.
I'm Good!

Why is a couple extra 100 lbs a big deal these days? Who’s out racing their cars? Yeah a little extra gas but slowing it a little - so what.
