73 Road Runner "Driveway Find" -- Thoughts on Value?

I can't believe how well the paint turned out. Great score.
Thanks! Detailer tried to get me to do ceramic coating on top after the buff out. It’s going to be in my garage covered and I think I’m going to fix decals so I’d never been able to get decals removed with ceramic coat.

That looks amazing! Looks to me like the detailer did a nice job and that it was well worth the cost to do it.

I agree with others who have suggested you fix the mechanicals and drive it. I think a presentable unrestored car can be more cool than a fully restored one.

Enjoy it - what a find!

^^^^I agree.
Cars are meant to be driven.
I have done many old Mopars since the 80s some nut and bolt restos, for many years now days I just want: get it running, then get it driving (safe), then I want rust gone> Anything else comes as it can and is just "fluff"!

So that is how this whole thing started out -- I wanted to save it. But, I also figured that I could get something to just drive, get it running, and enjoy it compared to treating my 70 RR like the garage queen it's become. I've just been through my 70 head to toe, and I'll need to do the same or more to this to get it running and safe. Here comes another year of being broke to finance a 50 year old car. :) As soon as I get carpet installed and bench seat back in my 70, I'll be bringing this one home. I have a pretty narrow garage and with the 73 next to the 70, I won't be able to get the door open wide enough to get in the bench in the 70. Might look into getting a stacking lift or something if I have no room once it's here.

I think that’s a great plan, get the ‘70 squared away, then bring the ‘73 home.

I’m digging you’re considering making the ‘73 a driver. You won’t regret it!

Glad @mrmolding was able to rescue it. Definitely a keeper! Enjoy it to the max!

Lots of similarities with me. I have my Limelight 70 Air Grabber Road Runner that was fully rotisserie restored and is super nice, and my 73 Lemon Twist 340 Road Runner that has plenty of warts that I am making my driver (although it is with a 416 stroker and an overdrive). I drive the 70 frequently, and even drove it across country, but I try to avoid wet weather and drive it carefully. I want to be more carefree with the 73 and simply enjoy driving it around!

Your threads on both of your cars are some of my go to threads on how to fix something or figure something out. :)

Tight garages blow. Roll it out into the driveway and work on it there whenever you can.

Exact situation! Thanks!

Two years later I have a couple that I drive with NO headliner or carpet and the seat is tore to heck!!! No front bumper, an old windshield/// LOL

I wanted to update everyone here since I CAN NOT believe it's been almost a year since I posted my last update. :) Basically my 70 needed a new diff, electrical fixes, and carb tuning. So, I just amassed as many parts for the 73 as I could over the past year. I'm about to get started on it again. I have seriously toyed with selling it, but I "think" the 70 will now let me spend time with the 73. :) I finally got the 73 home next to the 70...

GET BACK TO WORK !

Too funny!!! All I do is work on these things and look for parts! :) I lived on the east coast for over 50 years and I had a forced break due to the winter. But moving out to the desert above LA its year-long car time! :) Guess I work slower than I used to. :)

^^^^^I am OLD. I just get a little more tired'er a little more quick'er!!!!

I told the cardiologist I am old and woreout, need to just stop. He said, don't stop, you will DIE quickly!!!
