1971 Superbee Dash Piece

I am putting the dash back in my 1971 Superbee and have a piece that I am unsure where it goes. I know it goes somewhere in or on the dash but I am unsure of anything beyond that. Any information or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Above the gauges on the dash pad. Look up under you will see a slot there.

The hole drilled is for the rear speaker fader knob equipped on cars with mono Radios and rear speaker.
