I'm wondering if the fusable link is the same between 66 and 67? If not what are the differences? The one on classic industries site looks exactly like mine but says for 67 and up. On 66 I believe it's on the starter relay and where? Any help is appreciated.

On the 66 the ring goes to the stud on the Starter relay and the other end snaps into the bulkhead connector
The black wire plugs into the connector at the bottom of the Horn relay

When you say black wire what is that? The fusable link is blue if I remember

This is the correct fusible link for 1966

do you know where I can get one? I bought the one from classic but it only has the blue wire.
**** I see classic has the right one, before I could not find it. why is there a different one for 66 vs 67 I wonder?

I got mine from YearOne
Thank you so much for that info, it REALLY helps me out. is there any chance you have a pic of it installed on the car? I understand exactly what you mean by where it goes but i would like to see it. My car is 200 miles north of me in storage so I just cant go out and pop the hood. I cant seem to find a good pic of the firewall that shows the connectors.

I had to crop and enlarge
but you can see where the blue ends go
The black end plugs into the connector at the green arrow

I started a face book page called 66-67 Charger freaks. i would love it if you would consider joining.

I posted what I learned from you on the site. It may very well help someone out in the future also.
I bought mine from classic also and didn’t have a black wire could this be why my Fuseable link is getting hot?
