In the hospital

Had two stents placed last spring in my L.A.D. No pain, showed up in a C.A.C. test. They went in through my right wrist
and put em in. Stayed in the hospital for two days. Put me on Brilinta and avorstatin fornow until the stents "bury
themselves in the artery wall. (About a year and a half) Then just on Avorststin and asprin til the end! Glad you caught
it in time! Alot of people don't know what's happening inside their bodies and then just drop! Good luck on the recovery
and don't skip the cardio excersise classes! See you on the other side!

I've been there too. One stint. Unfortunately it changes everything. You will get through this. Hope you recover quickly.

Really? Did not know this
From what I know, 2 things,
#1 Some medications have those side effects
#2 It's hard not to feel like a ticking time bomb. It is very probable it will happen again. Pay close attention to your body and how it and your chest feels, keep up with your regular Dr. visits, Eat right (you may have to change some things there), exercise responsibly, and get to the hospital if you need to.
I went to my GP for a yearly check up and she heard my noisy mitral valve. I got it checked out and after Open Heart Surgery they repaired it and did one bypass. I have 2 more in there that may/will need attention at some time. One is at about 40% blocked and the other at 25% or so. With the right attitude and some life changes you will be ad good as new.

Good to hear. Take good care of yourself. What meds are you on or did they put you on?

Erica there’s probably quite a few on this site that have had what you’re just going thru. Take comfort in knowing you have great odds. Mine was a 100% blocked left ventricle artery - the one they call the “widow maker”. Dropped where I stood like I’d been shot. That was 12 years ago. Once I got past the shock of it all - it took awhile - Life went on and my health is pretty good. God watches over all of us all the time - and he’s caring for you right now.

Well said! Like I tell many on the heart surgery group on Facebook, The doctors and heart surgery staff are trained professionals. They do these jobs every day over and over. Just another day at the office for them. Because of all that you are in very capable hands.

Prayers sent and best wishes for a speedy & complete recovery!

you will feel great by the end of the week, and you won't even know they were in there

Hope your recovery goes well.
Good thing you recognized the problem.

Well done listening to your body and being smart enough to get help; many of us guys want to be tough and then we do stupid things!

Wishing you a speedy recovery and back to doing what you enjoy!
