Syd Mead was a god among designers.

My bachelor's degree is in Industrial Design and I did that for 25 years of my life. It's hard to explain but when you see sketches of new vehicle concepts, that's industrial design. There was one man from the '60s that stood above all the rest. As you watch this you realize every sci-fi movie used and is using his concepts. As far as transportation design he liked using "arrival scenes." It's amazing how one man could have been so talented.

He used to do futuristic drawings in the early Automobile Quarterlies. I found his imagination and attention to detail astounding.

Very very cool, thx for sharing. I definitely saw scenes/sketches that reminded me of Half Life2 the video game, and movies like Blade Runner and Silent Running..... anybody remember Silent Running??? Wonder if he was involved??
