Hey Gang, getting to the end of my third build on my 1st car that I’ve had since 1979. It’s a 71 Satellite Sebring Plus that my dad and I worked on when I was 15. Anyway I want to pick up a mini starter that’s going to give me many years of service. Would you folks be able to recommend one? Thanks in advance for your help.

I have bought several from DB Electrical with no problems, knock on wood. You can spend a lot more but I don't know that it is really necessary.....

Used one off a magnum truck engine.. Made by nippondenso..

Got mine from 440source and been excellent since.

A BIG thanks to all who replied, I’ve been looking through and researching all the Mini Starters on line. I look for reviews from actual buyers but those have been few and far between. With all things Mopar I get the best answers from this group, I narrowed it down to two starters and I’ll let you all know what I picked.

I run a 90's vintage factory Dakota V8 starter on my racecar. It's 580", 15-1 compression, with full 34 degrees at cranking. Going on year 10. Some blocks may require a little grinding to get it to set flat. Most don't

Got mine from Mancini Racing. You might need offset solenoid studs to clear the block; Mancini might have them too or you can find them on EBay. The most important consideration if you're running headers, and I'm talking from experience, it to route the batt and solenoid wires carefully.

Junk yard units for me. I did have to grind the case of the starter for my fury

Got one at NAPA $60. Had to remove a plastic terminal cover and remove the extension leads.NOBIG DEAL.

Just don’t buy the 440 Source Brand X that they promote as made by one of the big deal starter makers - undisclosed. Sounds like a no lose great deal. It ain’t

Got a 440source starter as well, been working fine since installation.
