I wasn't sure whether to post this here on in the Interior section. I just replaced my bench seat covers with new Legendary cover (6 months to get). The bottom of the seat Front cover did not come with the slits cut for the seat belts to go through. I have my old ones and they have the material just cut like an afterthought. The old covers had cloth inserts (seen in photo) that are not available, so I went with all vinyl covers. Would someone with a bench front seat take a photo of where your seat belts are so I can compare. It would be greatly appreciated. See my photos to see what I'm talking about. Thank yu.

Just measure the slits from the cover you took off, they look original.

I can do that easily enough. It is just the cuts in the old cover were tearing at the ends from use so the material is ragged. If I had paid attention before we installed the cover, the slits could have been made and my wife could have sewn a cord around the holes to prevent tearing. I'm curious if other car owners with bench seats have the same problem with tearing of the material with use. I can take the cover back off the seat and get a better slot for the belts cut and a cord around the seat belt opening sewn in. I want to see what other seats look like before I cut this area and the rough slits are visible when the seat back is folded forward. Thanks.

The raged edge is forward in the hole and should always be covered by the bottom padding of the backrest when the seat back is leaned forward, (it actually slides back a little). Adding binding around the cut is a lot of work for very little to no benefit. Just try to make a clean cut and it may curve a little forward at the ends.

I looked at a 72 seat I have and saw these, maybe you need a set too. I find them in the Classic catalog also.
