With his Social Security number on the check, I'd advise that you EDIT that picture!
That's VERY cool.I just actually talked to the guy from the check. It’s such a unique name that it made a google search easy and he is here in my own state. He owned the car from 1972-1976 and said he drove the car all over the country while he was in the Air Force. He bought it in North Dakota he said. Pretty cool history. He knew exactly what it looked like and told me all about racing it and how fast it was. You could almost hear him smiling through the phone as he was telling me about it. So awesome. He thinks the car was bought new in North Dakota but he can’t remember the name of the guy he bought it from other than what they called him, C.J.
That is a cool story ! Thanks for sharing it with us !He is going to look to see if he can find some old pictures of the car but he doesn’t know for sure he has any. He talked about rowing the gears and said he always loved that white shifter ball and how it looked with the two tone blue interior. He asked if I could send him some pictures of it and I told him I hated to because it was just starting disassembly for restoration and it wouldn’t look the same as he remembers but I did it anyway. He said the last he saw if the car was in Goldsboro NC in 1977 and that the guy he sold it to had passed away he heard. This car has been off the road since the eighties at the latest by the looks of it. I would about guarantee it. I filed a title history request for research purposes with the star but I have no idea when or if I will hear from it.
