Horn Ring

My 1964 Fury has a two part horn ring, one part sits on top of the other. The finish is near perfect on both rings except the ring closest to the steering wheel is cracked. I am assuming both rings are pot metal but would like to know if the cracked ring is repairable. I would also like to know how to take it apart, does it unscrew…push down and turn?

Look on the back side for screws?

This is the one I replaced on my 64, and posted for sale. It needs rechroming, as the chrome was worn off on one section of the ring. It's been a while, and I don't remember for sure. But I THINK the top twists off to the left to expose the bottom section. Hope the picture helps.
