Have any of you tried the glue on Redline tire strips.

I like the redline look but $100 vs over $1000? I dunno. Have you tried it or know someone that's tried it.

There are a few different companies.

......yeah, not a really good idea. They would probably never be perfectly round and wear and tear....

Isn't $250 a tire kind of normal for anything now?

Some of the guys on the C2 Corvette forum have done it with nice results - but it takes careful layout and is tedious. I’ve actually ordered a set of blue line stripes from Classic for my 66 Hemi to try but I haven bought the tires yet. It can be challenging trying to find a tire you like with a clean sidewall at the radius where the stripe should sit.

I don't really do red line tires, but to glue them on is like wearing a wig, I don't think so.

So far the reviews have been good from the Corvette guys who have tried it - and you know how particular Corvette guys can be. A lot of it comes down to resistance in paying $1200 plus install for a set of diamondback tires that they feel obligated to change out every 7 - 8 years with 70 - 80% thread left - versus $400 for a good black wall set and $120 for the stripe kit and some self performed labor.

$69.95 Porta walls.
Least we forget the white ones.

Interesting Install (play from beginning)
I tend to be a "naysayer" and think this may be a better option than buying redwall tires that are not to your liking - making redwalls out of you tires of choice.
Who knows, I'm not seriously considering this option.

It's okay but doesn't give as good of a high as Loctite superglue... <sniff> <sniff>
