Hey everyone- I just picked this up a couple weeks ago. Not correct build sheet, but tags fit. Couple questions for you folks that may know the finer points of these cars. Radio delete. Please see fender plug. Is this what they did in production? It would make sense instead of a new die, or, manual plug.( labor, etc.). 2, on the second tag, I am clueless about the stampings. Been googling, etc. But no info. Any help would be appreciated. And,

Yes I know there are some obvious decals not right, but will rectify shortly. Thanks for any insight you can provide. This place is great! 20220402_170040.jpg 20220320_130336.jpg 20220320_130355.jpg 20220320_130521.jpg

Nice car
I am not certain, never seen a Radio delete like that
One of my 63s has no hole in fender, Factory Delete car
Also?
My 69 Rambler Hurst S/C has an Aerial and no radio from Factory....

:wtf:

Interesting. I would think they would have stabbed in aerial in like your AMC. Thanks, Mark

On later B's and some C's , radio delete cars (think cop car) got a plug that looked like a power antenna in the fully retracted position. Not sure what B's before '74 got, but I've never seen a plug like yours.

Regardless, nice Charger!

2nd tag is just inspection marks. Since it is not a St Louis car, the fender tag does not have the radio option and other stuff on it. Since the car has obviously been dressed with decal, spoiler, blacked grille, and wing not factory available in 72 the radio delete may be questionable. Hard to tell without a build sheet. I have seen the delete bezels before, but never paid attention to the antennae.

In any case, great car!

Great car, I wouldn't change a thing on it. Hard to say on the plug, that dash looks great though and not easy find.

Wow..Unusual. Great car!
Never seen a radio delete in 72.

That radio delete is RARE! Whatever you do, don't hack it up to put in a radio!!! Either put in a hidden audio system or get a radio bezel. I sold one on eBay about 15 years ago and I got around $800 for it.

H code 340 IIRC means it is a Rallye car and it has the door gills to prove it.

Unlike the 400 and 440, IIRC you could only get a 340 in a Rallye Charger.

I believe V21 also confirms.

If the tag is legit- @69Coronetrt

That's a super rare Ram Charger car, too.

I LOVE those options.

Some friends of mine have a TB3 72 RR/GTX 4 speed radio delete car.
I've been salivating and making offers on that one but to no avail.

My 66 is a "no radio" car and simply does not have a hole punched in the fender.

Wow! Thank you for the interest, info. The tags are legit as the motor but not trans is matching . What's wild is it also has the rear defroster option. I promise not to cut up the bezel. Oddly enough, I had bought one for a radio back in February, before I even knew the car. I'm not thinking I am going to swap it out. Thanks, Mark
