I wanted to put this out there in case anyone else is considering buying a set of Mancini Racing roller rockers.

I ordered a set of Mancini Racing's 1.6 roller rockers for $520 and they arrived today. According to their website, they are made by Harland Sharp and look really nice in the pictures on their website. What I received doesn't look like what is advertised, came on a cheap heat shrink to cardboard package that had come open with loose parts in the box (I put them back in the package for the picture). No smooth anodized finish, these have a raw aluminum texture. One is even missing the lock nut. I can't imagine this kind of QC from Harland Sharp even on a private label product.

So much for getting the engine together this weekend. I sent an e-mail to them but don't expect a response until Monday and will update on how they are going to handle this.

You can judge for yourself. The first picture is from their website, the next two are what I received.

Well, that would certainly warrant a phone call to Mancini if it were me....

Just use them. Who cares if they are red or not?

Sure follow up with them, but those are fine and the quality you paid for. And have full warranty according to Mancini Imho

"Shown" are centered adjusters and rollers. Delivered are offset like I would think a big block mopar would use..

Keep in mind that the one's from Mancini's are not the top of the line HS's, they don't have the bearings on the shafts. That packaging is not uncommon and parts do move around somewhat. Missing adjuster - well that's worth complaining about. As for the finish, that looks like a tumbled finish and is similar (I believe) to what Hughes do to their's. Not anodized ... I personally wouldn't be concerned unless you're running clear valve covers. And for what its worth, I don't think those red one's are HS's either - HS's have an orange anodize.

Fyi Harland Sharp's come the same way. Shrink wrapped to a cardboard backing. When I bought mine for the Dakota R/T they came packaged the same way. Not my picture but you get the point.

I bought a set a few years ago for Trick Flow heads and they were red.

I have true HS on another engine and understand the difference in $ and design. These are going on a street motor. I also am not worried wether they are anodized or not but I am a disappointed that they are not as advertised. You expect to get what you order or be told it's going to be different.

The pic on the website is the same for BB & SB. Poor advertising. Those shown as the BB are not. Red anodizing, who cares. Missing lock nut, I care. I like my Hughes rockers.

FWIW,
I was questioning these very same rocker sets before pulling the purchase trigger on them. The e-mail I sent Mancini last Sunday, (the 3rd), still hasn't been responded to. I suspect a phone call may produce better results.

Curious, where did your Mancini rockers actually ship from? How long was your wait once ordered?

Missing parts is poor quality control. Most likely happened at the Manufacturer unless the package is opened. The description makes no note as to finish or color. So you are getting as described. They they should say photo is generic and does not represent what you are buying.

They shipped from Michigan and arrived quickly- 6 days after I ordered them.

To follow up:
I talked to a very helpful customer service rep at Mancini yesterday (Saturday). He explained that they anodize the SB rockers red and leave the BB rockers raw so their shipping dept. can easily tell the difference. Apparently it didn't work for the IT cataloging dept. He was going to let them know that the picture was incorrect for the BB rockers on their website and get a locknut sent out Monday.

IMO- in this situation the customer service offsets the missing parts and inaccurate cataloging.

Glad to hear that their customer service is still as good as I have experienced. Mancini has always been a good outfit with the parts Mopar guys need. I hope the rockers work well.

So what was the verdict on these rocker arms? I ran across this thread because I just had the same exact head scratching going on when I received my set of the 1.6 MRE rockers today.
Same deal - raw aluminum, non-bushed...etc. I was mad. Still am, for the most part...

I'd love to hear some experiences with these exact rockers...good or bad. OP, did you keep them and use them?

It's three days before the 4th of July, so I have at least that long to make a decision on whether to keep them or not.

Thanks to anyone who can provide info.

I bought a set that are the same construction but 1.6 ratio. I've had them in the car since 2014 or so. They have been great for me.

Received mine this week, no instructions? The product, looks well built. Installing on 400, new stealth heads. Will admit, it’s been since the mid eighties, that I have messed with B/RB engines. Thought it would be self explanatory. Installed the 8 shim washers on each side of mounting pads/blocks, one each at end next to mtg. pads. Then the 4 spacers between rockers. Look super close in location, rockers moved as should. Started tightening mounting bolts, from center out. Noticed end bolts were very snug, while tightening them. Stopped, pulled out, examined, proceeded again, really tight, stopped, rockers are jammed tight, no movement. Frustrated after things going pretty good on a hot/humid/raining day.
Today going to check part number ordered, fill confident they are correct. My question….do you not use all spacer shims? 16 total for both heads & 8 spacers. Here is pics
