71 chargers built 1 number off.

So, The one with the red fender is the 71 R/T Tawny Gold, 4spd car?

Yes. According to the 71 Charger registry, only 332 440 4 speed cars built in 71. Probably on 100 or less with the N96 option.

As soon as I get the 72 Charger topper roller ready to sell, I hope to get back to work on the 71 Charger R/T. I have way too many projects to do with the time I have left.

WH23 VIN with a WL dash and cluster.

...and 383 4 speed.

Interesting.

No it wasn't on ebay, that I know of. I have a thread about the car in the 71 to 74 B body section on here titled I started on the 71 Charger R/T roller. It's probably about 7 or 8 pages deep, since I haven't updated the thread in a while. I bought the car from a guy in Western Connecticut. A guy I know went and bought a hood from the guy I got the car from, and he said that he had located the matching numbers drive train complete, together in another car, after he had sold the car to me. I don't know if it is for sale, but I thought it was cool to know that it still exists and is all together in the same car.

If you want a 440 4 speed 71 Charger R/T project car,I can hook you up. The car has good bones
