My dwell readings for 383
Innova 5568 Dwell reads 26, set to 8 Cylinders
My old Sun Dwell-Tachometer reads 30, set to 8 Cylinders
Points gap set to .017 with feeler gauge
I think my Innova 5568 dwell option not working correctly.
I like the reading from Sun Dwell-Tachometer

IMO...The four degree (4°) difference is insignificant. This would result in approximately a feeler gauge gap of 0.0175" - 0.018", or a slightly longer coil charge time, depending of its inductive reactance. The 4 degree dwell difference would result in approximately a 2° increase in static timing at idle with the vacuum advance disconnected. Personally, its a psychological difference in the engine operation....use which ever instrument gives you your preferable reading..... just my opinion of course....

Thanks for the help.
So I won't worry about it because like Bob said above four degree (4°) difference is insignificant
My initial timing is 12 degrees
I will keep using Sun Dwell-Tachometer 7601
