Nicest affordable places to live in the USA.

If you can get there ( Gridlock) and then there is NO PLACE TO PARK..... LOL

Google about Holmes beach... Look at what there Mayor ( a woman named Titsworth) has gone through to stop 80 million dollar bridges to her town for NO REASON... There are no parking spaces and its FULL..... 31,000 cars everyday cross over to an area with NO more room......
That is the future people........

I've been there a few times. My wife has a relative of a relative there.

Parking is challenging, like any other beach community, but it can be done.

I've been trying to talk my wife into the panhandle of FL for years now.
Hang out by Pensacola - watch the planes go over, that sort of thing.
I'm about done with any frozen, dreary winter crap for good.
Ed my grandson bought a home in Callaway Fl. ( close to Panama City ) he plans on staying.
We have been down and stayed with him.
Pretty dang nice.

I have no problem affording living in Missouri, the show me state!! I'm happy. No place is perfect and any money you save on this or that you pay somewhere else. Nothing is free.

5 million MORE people in florida in the last 10 years... More than entire states in this country, and they keep on coming... AND this does not include the 5-6 MILLION of the snowbirds EVERY winter......
Disney draws appx 110 MILLION tourists every year.....

According to studies conducted by the Risky Business Project $15 billion to $23 billion of property could be underwater in Miami by 2050. The average elevation in Florida is 6 feet above sea level. The average elevation of the 113 miles of the Florida Keys is 3.2 feet above sea level. No thanks, I don't have webbed feet. I'll be gone, but my kids won't be..... If it's true or should happen, it won't be worth a plug nickel.

Just like the studies in the 70's and the 80's about the coming ice age.... I think Al Gore was in on that scam too

Tell me about it.

I-4 into Tampa in the last 3 years has gotten as bad as the Orlando area.
Used to be only the 275 interchange was bad and if you were smart, there was an "easy" way through.

...and in the same time frame I-4 in Orlando has gone from backups starting at 535 (Disney) to gridlock starting at the Polk Co. line.

All that extra weight will only raise water levels and Florida will go back to it original land mass. Almost half the size it is today.

You sound like that black fella who said the island was going to tip over....

I once sent in a quote for a slogan contest: "New Jersey - the only place worse is New York". I didn't win the contest. Truth hurts.
