1966 Plymouth Satellite HP2

I found mine has a hurst shifter body but with an Inland handle adapted to it - reverse lock out is omitted. I think one of the transmission shops offers this if you get tired of the sloppy one.

I have the same set up. This was a mod covered in Super Stock and Drag Illustrated back in '66.
 
Here is a picture of an original car engine compartment in an old magazine I have. From memory I think this is a HP2 car that was low mileage and unmolested. It does seem to show a bracket for the heater hoses but it was apparently a running change. The 65 and earlier cars had the hoses and heater core nipples positioned differently so the 66 routing probably wasn’t all sorted out at the very start. Also shows the radiator hose fuel one details.

And here is a picture from a 65 magazine of a pilot Hemi Coronet convertible used for magazine tests (note the small radiator) and it does have the heater hose bracket so it may have been a factory specific change that was introduced at different times. Or maybe a Dodge thing later adapted by Plymouth.

The best score I ever made at a swap meet was a pair of Hemi carbs for $80.00Can. I was at a local all-makes weekend swap meet near London, Ontario. A vendor that had mostly Chevvie stuff had a pair of AFB's sitting on a small block 2 X 4 intake. I could tell by the position of the fuel line port that they were Mopar. I got really excited when I saw the big brass idle air screw at the fronts of the carbs. I read the list #'s (4139/4140) and realized they were Hemi carbs, but not sure what year. The guy wanted $150.00 for the whole setup, but I told him I did not need the intake. We settled on $80.00 because that was all the cash I had left in my wallet. It was one of those, "Start the car! Start the car!" moments like the old Ikea commercial !
It turns out they were 1966 Hemi carbs. A good friend of mine had (still has) a 1966 Hemi Charger that was running on a pair of rejetted '62 300H carbs that I loaned him and would eventually need back. Coincidentally, he and some other friends had gone to the Mopar show and races at Norwalk, Ohio the same weekend, but I decided to stay home. When he got home, I asked him what those carb #'s meant to him. He said they were the correct ones for his car. I told him to come and get them, and I would take my carbs back when he changed them over. I charged him the "Good Friend" price of $300.00, even though I knew they were worth much more. They even came with the factory progressive carb linkage. My friend had bought his Charger in 1980 for $1500.00 off a gas station lot in London, Ontario as a theft recovery car, missing its 426 and automatic. We have speculated these even could have been the original carbs off his very car. There certainly were not a lot of 1966 Hemi cars in London.

I would be curious about that too. Both my 67 GTX and 66 Hemi Sat have 1330 transmission yokes in them that I’ve had to change to 1350s as the 1330s are no long available. Denny’s told me the 1330 yokes were a big block, 66/67 thing only. Kind of odd.

Our 67 440 4 gear has a 1330 yoke. Don’t really know what the 440 83/4 auto’s had. Dr.Diff told me he didn’t have any 1330’s but could get me 1350.
Maybe I should have started a thread, but I thought it was alright to ask because of the picture’s of the car. I pre apologize if I did something incorrect.
