1966 Plymouth Satellite HP2

Mine has the heater hose bracket and no sticker on the air cleaner. I have a pic of the engine when the car was new, and no sticker then, either. My understanding is some got them and some didn't. I like the sticker, but I've left it off since that's how mine came.

Another thing with mine is it came with an oil breather cap that I haven't been able to identify so far. It wasn't with the car when I bought it. I've seen one or two in pictures, but that's about it. It seems to be different that other '66 Hemis I've seen.

Wow! Congrats. You really have a great collection going! The car is just beautiful

So stock at the rear u joint was u-bolts and not caps with bolts threaded into the yoke on the Dana? Mine has caps but has bolts and nuts to secure them which seemed wrong as I figured the yoke had threaded holes and the bolts threaded into the yoke. Not that I think any of it is very original after all it’s been through. I’m putting a new seal and u joints in it next week so I’ll have to take a close look at the yoke to see if the holes are threaded or not and possible look for a u-bolt set although the caps may work fine to.

RC said his (automatic) was the same. Based on this cars first 16 years of life as a weekend stock class racer who knows if that yoke is stock, the rear spring set up sure isn't.

Wayne I don't know if 4 speed Dana 60 cars had the inertia ring? If can measure cups diameter 1.0625 for 1330 u-j. I noticed a gear reduction starter which means you don't have the 172 tooth flywheel. One thing less grief if you need to replace it or that high dollar starter

Our driveshaft is 3” no ring. Should I start another thread about yokes? Not talking about eggs either. Seems that this getting away from Wayne’s car.

I still don't know what "gap" you are seeing Ian. There is no play in the U joint caps or pinion.

Fran, the drive shaft has the ring..

Im late to the party here, but man oh man...what a gorgeous car! Just about perfect. Love how it sits too; may I ask what sizes wheels and tyres those are?

Most 66 Hemi cars Ive seen have the small round chrome breather cap with no nipple. BUT Ive seen a few that just have the small round black breather.

It so then the nipple on the air cleaner has a plastic cap on it

UNLESS
they are CA emissions cars. then they get the hose from the cap to the breather
