440 How would you build for 700hp

It’s great if you’re sticking with carbs. If you go EFI, it’s useless.

Agree 100%
I like the data acquisition, real time feedback, and tuning capabilities of an EFI fuel delivery system, especially those who know how to use that data to guide their tuning processes. As you know, some even have "learning" capabilities and alter the fuel, air, and spark for better performance reflecting the kind of driving parameters it has "experienced", BUT it seems like high performance focused people only use the "learned" tables as a baseline.
For the price/performance value of the Progression Ignition system and my intended uses, I am ALL in.

As I have been many times, a wideband will lie to you, a spark plug won’t. This is why a learn table will get you in the ballpark but won’t get you any home runs. My Holley Dominator EFI does everything except bake bread but because of the short downpipes, it can’t be trusted with idle tuning.

All you need is the latest software update and the header bread chamber adapter and you're good to go...
I don't know but certainly believe that your spark plug reading being better than or more reliable than an O2 sensor system is true or at least your experience. The opportunity for me to do a full throttle run, shut off, and immediately pull plugs is rare, and not nearly as sexy as that nice looking dual band gauge on my dash.
Noted, and I will make the effort when the time comes.

Sounds like a circus act. “The Amazing Progression Ignition system”... Never even heard of it. Where do you guys find this stuff? Got a link to this thing?

Pretty cool stuff. Great adjustability that doesn't require a bunch of time pulling your dizzy to fine tune. I am possibly going to pull the plug on one as I can set specific curves for what I am doing at the time with great ease.

The Progression Ignition will be upgradeable too, but has to be sent in for the upgrade, and it's still "on the drawing board". Chip shortages and other similar issues are slowing/holding up the process, but let it suffice to say that greater things are coming for those who have or get a Progression Ignition system...
BWA-HA-HAAAA!!!!

PROGRESSION IGNITION UPDATE!
Ted at Progression is emailing lots of people today:
The Chrysler NEW SMALLER DIAMETER distributor housing units are available!!
He said he has changed all the associated pictures on their website.
This should eliminate the occasional fitment issues some had with aftermarket heads and/or fabricated valve covers.
