My son completed his studies and received his Mechanical Engineering degree. He got his first engineering job right as the first wave of Covid was hitting. The company had to cut back and like a lot of folks his position was eliminated in a cost-cutting measure. Since then he has had a cool job but not really utilizing his full potential as an engineer. Fast forward to today. A real engineering job with a real M.E. type salary and benefits. I don't want to say where or what quite yet but we are all celebrating this step forward.

Great to hear Steve, proud father for sure! Congratulations!

Congrats Steve! MEs are the jack of all trades guys. We stick our hands into pretty much everything.

Congrats to him.

It’s a proud time when your kids excel and you can feel a sense of accomplishment for yourself and them. Congratulations sir!

Congratulations to you and your son. It is nice to get a job in a field of interest that you enjoy. It feels less like going to work and more going like having a new experience. I was a volunteer fire fighter for my community for 20 years, and my son decided that he wanted fire fighting as a career. Twenty years ago, he was hired by Mississauga, Ontario F.D. This year he was promoted to Captain, and returned to the same hall that he started at. Despite some of the sad and bad things he gets to experience, I know that he still enjoys going to work. I am proud of him and happy for him.
