Hello everyone,

Once extremely loyal to Chrysler Products a long long time ago I am back with a rekindled interest. A rotisserie restored 71 Charger SE that I recently purchased to become a cool daily driver has given me another case of Dodge fever. My initiation into the family of passionate Mopar owners began in 1970 as a young lad just starting out working in the local Dodge Dealer's Service Department. I bought a new 1970 Charger 500 w/383 2bbl in Burnt Orange over Burnt Orange shortly after that which led to drag racing a 1971 Charger R/T 440 SIX PACK 4-Speed a few years later. In 1978 I sold everything and moved to Charlotte, NC to work in the engine department for the number 47 NASCAR Buick Team. It was all very good and I just recently retired from Hendrick Motorsports after working 28 years for them as one of their engine builders. Good to be back home and settled down after I discovered my heart had never left!

Welcome back. Sounds like ya have a world of knowledge elevating the knowhow graph on the forum; reckon you'll have more answers than questions, lol.

Welcome from Illinois Rusty!! That's a great daily driver!

Hello from California! There really is no cure for Dodge Fever.

I wonder if we could pry some dirt on some of the drivers from Rusty....

Welcome to FBBO! Enjoy retirement and that 71 Charger. Post some photos of it when you can.

Welcome from SC and a fellow 71 SE owner!

This is it, 71 Charger SE

I thought it was an interesting car, person who ordered a fairly high quality rotisserie restoration had it somewhat personalized rather than returning it faithfully back to factory original. Leather seats, wood grain on door panels and dash inserts changed to black. Transmission is 727 and rear axle is an 8 3/4 type, and shocks are Bilstein. New front disc brakes and all new 11" rears from Master Power Brakes. Exhausts are new dual system from Accurate Exhaust, Leather Seats, Door Panels and Carpet from Legendary Interiors and Stage 2 Front Steering from Firm Feel Inc.

Is that a 4wd car? :D Just kidding....again lol. Cool looking car and has the 'right' wheels on it! Had a similar looking set of wheels on a 74 Dodge pickup. They were Fentons RT's cast aluminum.....are yours Cragar Super Tricks?

As I recall wheels were Centerline. 8" slicks were the rules limit to run in NHRA Stock Eliminator class then. Fronts do look big in the picture but they were very narrow and lightweight. Car stance is high because I had extra rounds in it for loading on the trailer.
