I didn't come up with anything in the a search.

I was about to order the CPP disc brake kit for the Bee, and saw a comment about it didn't fit with the Ramcharger hood. I looks like it uses a later model master with the screw on caps.

That raised the question - is the stock disc brake master different in size? Will it fit with the Ramcharger hood? Any experience in this?

Now that the wife is going drag racing, we are going to upgrade.

Can't see a master cylinder getting in the way with a hood.....

The Ramchager set up has a relief in it for the master cylinder to clear it. If these aftermarket kits move the master up or forward I will not be able to use it as I am not cutting up or removing my set-up....

Ah, ok. Wasn't thinking about the under structure of it.....

If it's close as is with the drum brake master than switching to the period correct style disc will likely hit as they are taller.
To keep power brakes you might need to go to a newer style master with the plastic reservoir. But I think you'll need to use the corresponding booster with it.
Another option might be manual brakes instead.
I happen to use a 70 disc brake master, no booster, on my 66 charger with ssbc brakes on the front and it stops pretty well.

Drums aren't bad for 1 stop at 100 mph.
It's the second try that's scary.

That relief is only there, factory, with Hemi engine cars...so surprised to see you have that to start with.

If that's the case then just get the disc Master for your 70 from rock Auto and test fit it.

That was going to be my plan, actually O'riellys has one on the shelf. I'll grab it and see. CPP and right stuff have the spindle assy's so that should'nt be an issue....

Or you can use your original drum master by removing the residual pressure valve from the front brake port

On the front brake line, at the master cylinder use a sheet metal screw into the line seat. Remove seat with cutters and remove the residual check valve and spring. Put seat back into master cylinder.

Do tell....HMMMMM....

Before you remove check that it even has a valve installed. Take a thin rod or cotter pin and insert it in the appropriate hole, if it stops right away there is a valve blocking it. If you can stick it in without interference then there's no valve. Sometimes they don't have the valve.
