I recently purchased a new rear light extension harness to connect the main harness to the taillight harness. However, the connector on the taillight harness doesn't match. Am I missing something or do I need to find a new connector to splice in? This is the connector already in the car.

I ended up having to use a molex connector from a computer power supply because the aftermarket harness I installed had no connectors what so ever. But he molex connector plugged right into the factory harness on the 71 Satellite. I did not want to have to destroy the factory tail light harness.

That 72 doesn't look like the 71 though.

’71 is the same as ’72, flat 4-way Molex at the rear body harness to bumper harness disconnect. In the old days you could run down to the local Radio Shack and pick those up, requires a little internet research now, but you can get them.

That molex plug is great, any ideas on the grommet through the rear panel?

That's part of the tail light harness. Dunno if available somewhere.

But what do you need about that? I can see is in good conditions. All you need is the plug and done.

Thanks for the help guys. I'll see if I can get a connector to put it together. I'm going to pull the bumper off to check the rest of the wiring. Hopefully I can get the lenses off to replace the bulbs too. The screws are rusty and don't want to come out. Plus I need to clean up all the rust on the bumper brackets and trunk and while I'm at it paint the bumper since the chrome is trashed. (The front bumper is already painted)
