I have a 69 Dodge Charger RT 440 4 speed manual that was passed down from my father. He bought it new from Mr. Norm at Grand Spaulding Dodge in Chicago. It only has 34k miles on it. Im 47 now and I have never seen it run. I have heard many of his stories of him wanting to restore it, but he never got to around to it. He passed away in 2014. I started to restore it in June of 2021. I started with the engine rebuild to get it started and took the car to my body guy he has finished. Then to the Upholstery shop and now my mechanic so he can finish with the install. I have done some changes. I went from original green to different shade of green. And the interior to black to black with green stitching. I will add power steering and an EFI system of which I have purchased.

SWEET car from your father! Couldn't have a better car to restore. Good luck with your project and pls send some photos when it's done. By the way - WELCOME.

Welcome from Alabama, an original family car. Continue on, it's looking good. I'm more of a purist, but add the touches that suit you. Congratulations on keeping it.

welcome to the site and sorry about your dad. Love the color and interior.

Welcome from South Florida! Beautiful car you'll have a blast with it when it's done!

Welcome aboard from just North of you! A Mr. Norms car! Great, and looks good.
The green stitching is a nice touch. Your Dad would be proud!

Welcome to FBBO from NorCal Sierras

cool 69 Charger R/T 4 speed

what wheels are you going with?

I plan on 20 in on the back and 18 in on the front. Need some input. How wide can I go on the back? I would like to go as wide as I Possibly can. I have been considering black rims, or black with chrome rims. Also I'm going with green calibers and green drums for the back.

I know some go with 17 on front and 18 on back. Im happy with my 15 cragers. I have 275 on back and I think some run 295 on theirs.

I have also changed the valve covers to Mopar valve cover in chrome. My dad had also had a lot of new parts he had ordered over the years that I have added. That itself has saved me some money. The body itself was in great shape considering we live in Illinois.
