Like, owning our own museum collectively. I have way too much stuff to give my two kids. I know it sounds crazy but I'm sure there are lots of people like me that have been collecting car stuff your whole life. I'm sure my kids will want some of it but not all.

My collection is pretty eclectic since I've had an interest in different brands over the years but most of it is pretty interesting but not enough for its own museum. We can start small and I don't really care where it is as long as people can come to see our stuff. I even have a huge collection of Fast and Furious movie stuff. Like 25' x 12' movie posters and an F&F slot car set. I'm sure there are more of us out there that don't want our collections to end up in the trash.

The Floyd Garrett Muscle Car Museum was a neat place in Tennessee. He started out with only 6 cars of his own and a small collection of memorabilia.
Ended up with about 60 cars belonging to other people that he/his crew would maintain.Along with donated related items.
Your Idea could easily become a business. I recently gave away all my Mopar memorabilia to a friend for his man cave or I would have gladly said ''Come and get 'um"

Yup: I worry about some of this stuff getting lost. Sometimes heirs just throw it all away. I just bought a bunch of Mopar parts catalogues going back to 1950 and up to 1976 from an old Mopar partsman I used to deal with back into the 60's.
