My 68 charger just got delivered. It’s been so long since I’ve owned a charger and I definitely need to do this one the right way. Keep as much original as possible!!!
1968 383 2b Weber numbers matching block carb, trans drive line almost everything is original and in pretty good condition less the “dirt, grime, all in Pieces and the best part the patina which I will clear coat . Last on the road 1977 So 8 years on the road 45 years in storage that’s my whole point is that this Charger is like new just needs lots of TLC and I don’t want to wait 5 years to drive her around I’m getting her going to drive this summer 2022 not 2027 I respect opinions about painting to give her justification but I think her value and attraction is the shear fact it’s a full original parts low mileage survivor and not a rust bucket needing major money and work

Welcome to the site. You managed to drag home my favorite year Charger. Originally silver with a blue interior?

Looks pretty solid, nice candidate for a project car. What's your build plan? 440'

Welcome from NY.
Some assembly required on that one

Yes all original everything just like it was built for Grandma with a 383 2bl automatic but I love this thing!!!

Hermetically sealed for your protection!

IMO the two most-worn out and busted words in our hobby:
1. "Slammed"
2. "Patina"
*barf*
Nothing says it's either show queen or rat rod - there's all sorts of levels of "fixed up"
in between.
Not a damn thing wrong with doing a car justice AND driving it regular.
Case in point:

Hi there Iucgroup, Welcome to the madness....

That carb looks like a BBD 4423S, not a bad carb but you might get even better mileage with a 4bbl.

Yes sounds right going to burn more gas having to keep my foot on the floor just to get this boat moving along. There is a 4bl and manifold in the trunk from the last owner
