I purchased this car in December and joined the forum then but finally got it outside and took some nice pictures to post.
This car was bought new in December of 1969 here in my hometown, ordered specifically by a gentleman who passed away in 2007 to be his company car. He drove it as such until 1975 and then parked it inside when his Chrysler Newport arrived, I believe he knew it would be a time capsule and took very good care of it. It had 55000 miles on it in 1975. His widowed wife told me the story that it remained in storage until about 1999 when they started taking it to a few car shows and rallies each year. He passed away in '07 and she continued to show it occasionally and drive it on nice days. It logged about 6000 more miles since 1975 for a total of 61000. The car has zero rust.......anywhere!
The car is completely original with new shocks and brake job as required. The original paint has been well preserved and has only a few rock chips, the window glass is also perfect, as is the chrome trim and 14 inch rallys. The interior is Tan with console, tik Tok tach AM radio and rear window defroster. The driver's seat base has been replaced with a Legendary repro, and the seatbelts are black which seems odd.
I've put about 100 miles on it since I've bought it and will continue to drive it regularly as long as the weather is good, it's such a pleasure to drive; no squeaks or rattles and goes down the road nice and straight, it really drives like a new Charger probably felt!
Additionally the car came with its 3rd set of Goodyear Polyglass tires which came off in 1973 still in great shape, an amazing amount of documentation; order documents, build sheet, original bill of sale, Warranty work receipts, etc. Also many pictures through the years of the car and original owner.
I plan on keeping this car a long time and driving it often, it never fails to put a smile on my face!

Looks great! I’ve been looking at non vinyl top versions to see if I want to omit it from mine when I redo it.

Thanks for all the photos of your Charger, what a sweet car and a great story. The seat belts don’t come in all colors. A burnt orange interior has black seat belts also.

The first photo has a go wing, and it’s gone on the rest, what happened?

Nice car! I’m partial to a 70 myself! Is it registered in the 70 registry? I think it’s nice to try to register them to see how many really exist. My dads RT was a EK2 car ending in 170626 I’ll pay a reward for info if you stumble upon it!

What a great car. There is nothing better than an all original car.

Does look like a Go Wing, but kinda small..?? Is it something on the front of the trailer in behind it?

Fantastic story and car!!
It came with a dealer installed Mopar Go wing from new, not coded on the fender tag. I decided it looked way better without so I removed it and replaced the trunk stripe without disturbing the paint on the trunk. I really don't think these cars look good with the wing.

I removed it recently and replaced the stripe on the trunk portion. It was a dealer installed Go wing and not coded on the fender tag.

If I wasn't dumb I could have looked at your avatar and seen the wing. :fool:

You always seem to want what you don't have! I'd prefer a vinyl top and wheel opening mouldings.........and a four speed!

I like it better without the wing. And now I like the car even more! Cool car for sure.

Better sell it to me and find the one you want! Pm me. (Wishful thinking)

Welcome from Illinois!! Beautiful Charger! Thanks for the background story and photos . . .

That's a find of a lifetime, beautiful car! Let's see some interior shots as well as under the hood as well as the paperwork you have.

Very nice!! My car left original so many years ago, it doesn't even know what it use to look like!!
