Woke up & surfing Marketplace while sipping my coffee & there it was. Just 30 miles away. I messaged the guy & we made arrangements & soon I was off. It came with a junkyard 331 Chrysler Hemi also. I

hope to have a video posted tonight. We had a blast today fellas.

Looks like fun. Nostalgia drags are quite popular now days. They don't need to be fast just cool.

My Uncle had one in the 60's. It had a 301 SB Chevy (283 bored out 1/8" ). I sat in it a few times, right on the diff. He traded it and put the engine in an Anglia drag car that he kept in my Dad's garage. We had fun sitting in them and pretending to race.

Not my Uncle's car

Reminds me of those days when Joe Average might have one in his garage that he raced with on the weekends. As a kid, I remember seeing one in a friend's garage - probably in the late '60s. I think it was his dad's.

Cool old FE digger,
before you go to far with it (probably resale)
better check out the Tech rules
& tubes thickness & cage requirements etc.
before you invest in $$ into it

could or should be fun

There was a time when "Econorails" were popular.

I raced against one years ago late on a Friday night bracket race. I think I won on his red light. He was dialed 10.00 against my 12 something. I still thought it was really cool.

Way cool! I want one myself and put my big wedge in it ... it will have to be a new one but I want the dated look down to the pie crust slicks. Have fun with it !

That looks like a nice chassis, perhaps '69 era. I had one like that and sold it to Tom Wilford in the late 70's.

That's sweet. If I build another racecar, it will be an old school FED or altered. Congrats
