LT. Uhura Won't be Beaming Down For Breakfast

She entertained me in my youth in her role as Lt. Uhuru in the original TV show and as an adult with the cheesy Star Trek movies.

I miss the short skirt uniforms and Star Trek when it was normal to differentiate between men and women.

RIP

Great vid above

She was pretty for a long time, too.

...and they kind of royally screwed up the "canon" of the franchise.

I'm not the greatest Trek lore master but I suppose it could be argued that Picard changed the timeline in First Contact when he blew up a Borg Sphere over Earth and left without picking up the pieces. That minor oversight led to the timeline of the Enterprise TV show, which is in the past of the JJ movies but not originally in the past of TNG.

These days I only watch YouTube reviewers review the shows, instead of watching the shows themselves. The first couple seasons of Discovery appear to have been a flaming hot mess, but recent shows have respected lore to the point of overcompensating. I like how they explained the difference in the TOS Romulans and the TNG Romulans by making them from different parts of their planet. I believe they lifted the idea from TrekYards, but at least they're paying attention to the fans and attempting to fix things.

May the force be with her what a great lady she was. As well Tina Turner rocked my world with her powerful music. Bring back the 60 s.

Very true, every one of the main characters slotted into the roles seamlessly....and looked right for their parts.

I'd say they did as good as could be expected. The original cast is too iconic to replace. No one will ever be Spock except for Leonard Nimoy. Especially not a pretty boy, even if they're a good actor. Spock should be a little ugly and weird.

R.I.P. another one gone.

You mean like "Sylar" from "Heroes"?

... the beautiful Nichelle Nichols. She was living proof to me in my youth that beauty was irrelevant of skin color. She was an example that beauty didn't matter what color it was. She was simply... a beautiful woman. R.I.P. to a woman... who made a difference.
I know it’s just opinion but I never thought she was that good looking. She did play her part great,

Have you seen the new one? They might as well have cast a dude.

Good to see you have class on a thread of this nature. Oh...and I still don't care what your opinion is.
And I could give a crap what you think , and if I didn’t say it before, she was ugly
