Has anyone done this? If so, photos would help - I'm interested in re-purposing Ashtray/cigarette lighter to a stock-looking but hidden cover for a painless fuse box or cup holder. LMK, thx very much.

I mounted an auxiliary panel on the right side of the dash.....

It is under the right side corner of the dash frame. Fuses are much easier to access compared to the "inside the glove box" location.

That is a good idea; I have a good amount of room and and classic Auto air, so plenty of room like yours. Anyone else?

Ha ha. I have Classic Auto Air too.

I have a similar panel, what did you tap for power?

On the advice of FBBO member @1 Wild R/T , I ran the power to the starter relay though a Bosch 20/30 amp 5 pin relay.

I fabricated a metal clip that hooks onto the bottom of the dash where the fuse box normally mounts with a screw.
Now I can unhook it and hold it in my hand…..much better access but only what the slack on the wire allows
