Looking at a Dodge Rampage to buy 1982 decent rust free 4 speed 68K miles 1982 no radio or AC..............Any input would be helpful.

What’s there to say? Tiny fwd elcamimo. Those engines were built tough, and get pretty good fuel economy.

My dad had a 86 Laser, my grandfather loved those Omnis, I’ve been around them a little

Don't need one, always wanted one. I don't know why they're so appealing, but they're damn cool.

My buddy has one and is turbo charged, very fast

My wife had a 1987 Charger fastback with the 2.2L she bought new. We put about 150k on it + 2 timing belts and a distributor.

Install a heim joint shifter rod kit.

turbo Dodge L-body shift rod sets

I used to have an '84 Dodge Shelby Charger. The shifter was a bit stiff and notchy. The only "complaint" I had.

My first brand new car was an 82 Charger 2.2. It was a neat little car. The next year I think came out with a 5 speed, which would be nice to have.

I had an 82 Rampage with the 4 cyl and 5 speed. 30 MPG, fun, and pretty fast. Black with silver stripes made it look pretty good too.

I can put you into this one….cheep!

Back up. Sorry, I read it too fast. Looking for a Dodge Rampage instead of looking at a Dodge Rampage.

My wife and I bought an 1984 Charger new when she became pregnant with our first born. It had a 2.2 with the 5 speed, we traded our 1978 L82 Corvette for it ( not a good family car). The Charger was lots of fun and very economical and reliable, we ended up trading it for a 1986 Grand National when child #2 came along, that car was a lemon and turned me off of GM's for decades. I think you will have a blast with that Rampage, every trip to the hardware store will be an adventure.

I had one. Steel Grey with a crappy red interior. A local U-Pull yard that had Saturday morning specials - all you could haul out on a car hood for $25.. I went every afternoon for the previous week, pulling stuff out of Omnis and stashing it for Saturday. I hauled out a COMPLETE grey interior as well as a complete a/c system as well as a rear window for my Pontiac wagon. They were obviously suspicious of my methods but never said anything. That thing served me well. Can't remember why but I scrapped it. 2.2's were notorious for blowing head gaskets.

I'll add this ... If I ever bring another one home my wife will kill me while I sleep.
