For 69 Bee, 8.75 rear end. Prefer to use original type bearings, not green bearings. Local machine shop will press them in.

TIA

Here is a list of parts I got from rock auto a few months ago for a 489 case 8-3/4. I forgot to get the foam backing plate seals though.

Contacted them and the sent me the below link. Tapered? Will these work? Are they all tapered now but just don’t appear to be when installed? Do I sound confused lol?

Mopar Set 7 (A7) Tapered Axle Bearing Package
The "tapered" term refers to the style of bearing with the "cup" and "cone" structure.

Cup is the outer race with one tapered face, and cone is the inner race with the opposing tapered face, roller bearings, and enclosing cage:

Installed together, the cup and cone looks like the following image:

And in the case of the 8-3/4" axle shaft, the bearing is further retained on the shaft with a collar:

Excellent description and presentation. Timken tapered bearings were factory installed. The Factory Service Manual (FSM) shows the installation and adjustment procedure......again, excellent presentation......
