The plugs on POPS chart were from WOT conditions and the ignition being shut off at throttle closing.

Maybe the pic, but looks like 'peppering' on the insulator....but is not pepper.

Could the peppering be detonation? Its only on one side of the plug

Yes possibly pre-ignition or detonation.

Could be caused by uneven fuel distribution.
