My K member appears to have been welded and repaired. Just factory sloppy or? There was some damage in the past as evidenced by other front end pieces.

Blast, repaint and reuse or future structural failure?

Factory welds were not always pretty. Lots of people grind them down and clean them up and re-weld them. Most just don't worry about them.

Those look typical to me. I've had numerous A, B and E body K members that look about the same as yours.

MEASURE... before you do anything. Check the stabilizer mount area for cupping.

I’ll second that factory frame welds on GM and Mopar were anything but pretty. And the underside of the engine cradle often took a beating from jacks, jackstands and curbs over the years. But it’s not impossible it has had some repair over the years. Hard to tell from pictures. That isn’t a popped center weld on the k-member bottom towards the front is it?

No sir. Thanks

Everything was in place and seemed to be installed normally. I just took to all apart for other reasons.

Doesn't change my recommendation, nonetheless. Ever do collision work ? You'd be surprised at what you'd find.

Looks as normal.

I have never seen any with that much rust except one that came from I believe was an Illinois car with no front floors. That came up here in the early 80’s.
Those look pretty clean to me. That's just minor surface rust more like oxidation.
