They have about 30 cars committed for the hemi convertible invitational.

I belive they have at least one of every model from 1966 thru 1970 in both Dodge And Plymouth models

There a total of 3 1968 Coronet RT convertibles at the even
this Burgandy /blk int 4spd car

What a great conclusion to this story of a very rare car! I saw a vid on YouTube yesterday of them pulling the cover off this burgundy car, but I didn't put 2+2 together until I saw the notification on this post. Made my day!
Not many cars searched for have such a happy ending..... I guess the only missing ingredient is the OP trying to buy the car back now.

The car was still in primer the middle of Sept.
Troy had near the entire team working on this car since that time. In order to make it happen in time for this debut.

Pictures DO NOT do it justice

Owner swears he will put some road miles on it.
Maybe next summer

I know current owner well

The only way I can see this car ever being avail is a buyer would have to buy them all

And we are talking 12 - 13 real hemi B body convertibles . All one hit , One time deal.
But its an instant collection of Hemi B body drop tops , One each from 1966 thru 1970

That's a lot of coin to part with. Sounds like a nice collection.

And am quite sure it would be well into 7 figures to get that deal done
Owner has spent the better part of the past 20 plus years putting this collection together

One of them IS for sale though

1968 Coronet RT droptop
hemi , console auto . EE1 blue with dark blue interior

In case anyone has a few Benjamin's they want to part with

Man, I’m still amazed at what this community was able to do. First off - Bill. I’m not sure how I can say thank you. Mike and I have chatted daily since the show and this is without one of his happiest moments he’s had. Just knowing that 20+ years of history don’t go to waste and the car was restored the way it should have been for the world to see. Also, it was awesome getting to meet you and the owner at MCACN with my dad. Definitely a core memory my dad and I could share.

My dad went over the car with a fine tooth comb and was amazed by the resto job. Simple things like the ground cable overspray and keeping one screw of the body tag non painted were the small things he picked up on.

Sounds like there’s a good chance Mike will be getting flown to Carlisle next year by the owner to see the car in person. Never could have dreamed of the day that not only could we find Mikes car, but how amazing the current owner has been. I already promised Mike - if you’re at Carlisle, I’ll be there too. I’ll try my best to get the old man to make the trip somehow too.

Adding a few photos here. Couple of the Hemi back in the 70’s when Mike owned it, one of my dad in his 68 R/T 440-4, as well as a photo from 2002 when my dad and I drove up to NS from Wisconsin to meet Mike in person. This was probably 7-8 years after Mike had sold the Hemi..
