I have a 77 Cordoba. I want the biggest possible combination without the 22 inch "pimp" look..I still want the meaty muscle car style. I'm thinking that 17 inch wheels should be about right. My preference is American Racing torque thrust II rims, maybe 17x7 on the front and 17x9 on the back. Would this work? I also want to have a large enough tire profile to have raised white letter tires. Would this fit my cordoba? Any suggestions?

The tire store I went to called Amercian Racing and they basically told me that I had to figure it out for myself. The guy at AR said they don't tell customers what can fit, they just go build what the customer wants.

I dont' see a whole lot of cordobas online with unusual wheel combos. I'm thinking that since they are all b bodies, anything that fits a 71 road runner would fit my doba. Is that a bad assumption? Can anyone help or suggest what would fit?

You can fit 18 in with no problems.

I don't see why not. I have Dodge truck wheels on my car.

Theres not much chance of finding a 17" tire with RWLs. Unless you don't mind a light truck tire, but that might look kinda funny. I once had 31" truck tires on the back of a C-body and they didn't look too weird. Well, yeah, it was pretty weird.

I managed to catch up with you at the Cordoba Club board ie: backspacing. Hope the info helps. Painted steelies make ANYTHING look tuff. Except Subaru Forresters. They just look like they had 4 flats in rapid succession. weird.
