Sandblasting: What abrasives do you suggest?

Here's a tank that I hadn't planned on blasting until I realized someone had put cheap paint over the original with little prep. Paint stripper wasn't touching it so I figured I'd do a quick cleaning blast but it stripped it down to the metal really fast using cheap playground sand.

    Timing Chain Opinions

I've used Cloyes on just about everything I've built, they have a good reputation and I've yet to have a failure. 440 source seams to be more geared towards "affordable" performance parts which is great but on something like a timing chain I want excellence.

What did you do today....other than work on your car!?

That side needed to be turned down and sleeved as well.

What did you do today....other than work on your car!?

Should be doing firewood but it's raining so I'm enjoying some garage time. This is my current "when there's nothing else going on project". I've worked on 3 Wheeler's for people and of course test ridden them afterwards but never owned one.. always wanted one though. I guess to me they're just...

Transmission jacks for a lift suggestions.

What a great investment already, put the tranny back in in about 15 minutes.. effortlessly then used it to pull a gas tank and now it serves as a mobile work station for another project. This 3 wherler was killing my knees because you have to practically sit or kneel on the concrete to work on...

Sandblasting: What abrasives do you suggest?

I've bought dry playground sand several times, dirt cheap and it works. I have a Harbor Freight cheapo and it won't work with black beauty, way to larger so you're constantly taking the nozzle off. I've pulled a handful out to inspect it and it looks like little glass noodles throughout!!! Like...

    Plastic grill repair

I've seen at least 3 different ways on here, I've seen guys use acetone to dissolve ABS turning into a glue, Huntelk used some type of ABS rod and a heat gun... can't remember exactly what it was and I've used plastic weld on a few now with good luck. My Charger grill is still holding after...

    Anyone else plan engine builds?

Any time I'm planning on building a motor I do tons of research, weigh the options then put together an affordable plan and start parts shopping looking for bargains.. I enjoy the whole process.

Project Brown Eyed Girl.. and her 72 Satty.

Did a little farting around this weekend and was pleasantly surprised, the Charger rear bumper bolted right on with very little effort. I have a donor car lined up but I'm thinking I don't even need it now, if I pull that quarter out straight then trim maybe an inch of the bumper off and fill in...

Finally time to pull the trigger . . . starting on the New (much anticipated) SHOP - Build

We put tannerite in the stumps and have fun target practicing. It blows a lot of the dirt away, after a few rains it's clean enough to finish sawing up for firewood.

    Not a typical 68 Charger

Sounds like a fun build, I'll be watching.

68 RM23 Roadrunner, The rebuild of an old friend

I don't know, I'd have to see it on the ground but it sure looks mean just the way it is. Forgot to comment on your dash, man is that beautiful! I'm not a fan of blue but it goes so well with the white and the instrument upgrade looks right at home in there. Looks like a show winner in the makings.

At 92cc it better make light work out of just about anything, now where's the 36" bar so you can cut 2 at once?

68 charger 392 or Hellcat engine???

The aftermarket EFI systems seem to be lacking in reliability in comparison, how many miles do we drive our factory brand cars regardless of brand without a single hiccup?? I'd go OEM for certain.

Project Brown Eyed Girl.. and her 72 Satty.

Motor and transmission are out, maybe next weekend we'll see what it takes to drop the 360 in so we can start sorting out the wiring. I assume different motor mounts? Sucks having a lift and still stuck doing it creeper style, the Charger is still on the lift waiting on a clutch slave cylinder...
