Words you haven't heard in a long time...?

A buddy of mine used that one a lot. He even used it to describe what his engine was doing in his race car lol

Words you haven't heard in a long time...?

Been a long time since doing anything in one night except for getting up to pee! Don't recall ever hearing that one! Been awhile... Uh no Been awhile since hearing that one too....and bet only the well educated knew it back then.

    Happy Birthday Ghostrider 67

Happy Birthday Randy!!!! And 65 isn't old.....at least it wasn't for me but now I'm feeling it at 71. And if you haven't done a shingles shot yet I'd suggested you get one and especially so if you had the chickenpox as a kid. The only other shot I would suggest comes in a bottle!

Words you haven't heard in a long time...?

Panacea is one that I haven't heard in a while until tonight on a radio show. These days I hear all kinds of new words that I never heard before and wonder where in a heck did they get them from!

Left handed Lugs on a 68

I remember that! And iirc, they asked us if a few were interested in going there temporarily and no one did lol. Also remember the company pulling out of it not too long after.

Left handed Lugs on a 68

Sure did!! Sometimes the tool room attendant would tell me what he was about to 'throw away' and when it would happen. Man, it was nuts.

Left handed Lugs on a 68

And knowing how Chrysler did things, they weren't into not using the stuff that was already on hand. I never worked for ChryCo but knew people that did. Have a friend that worked on the lines and his whole family worked for the company in some capacity including his mom and dad and brothers. The...

Left handed Lugs on a 68

Well, doesn't explain why my 72 Challenger had LH's on it. It only had 40k miles on it when I bought it in mid 74 and can't see anyone installing LH stuff on it.....I mean most would remove the LH stuff and not install it. Whenever I bought a used car the first thing I did to them was change the...

Left handed Lugs on a 68

I'm thinking 71-72 were the transition years? Lots of people say their 72 had RH all the way around. Maybe some models did and some didn't....like my 72 Challenger still had LH on it.

Left handed Lugs on a 68

I stuck an 8 3/4 into my 79 D150 from a 68 and don't remember it having LH lugs. Maybe someone changed them before I got it? Also had a 69 D100 but don't remember what it had.....and can't remember ever having a tire off with that thing.

What did you do today....other than work on your car!?

My fireplace doesn't draw like it should and if there's a 15-20 mph breeze from the north, it blows smoke into the house and with my allergies these days, I can't handle it anymore. My fireplace chimney is on the south side of the house and it's lower than the roof ridge line and well, that's...

    Just need a bit more

I'm thinking weight too and that car seems heavy for it's size. It takes time to reduce weight but it's not all that expensive if you're not replacing parts like fiberglass etc. I'm also a fan of tall tires and more gear if you have the room for a taller tire. Short tires seem to slip more too....

    Starter bolt

I have a few 'bent' wrenches too.....but was at a loss to get the starter screws loose on my 97 diesel. Just needed more umph. Someone else swapped the starter for me lots of moons ago and went to town on all 3 of them!
