@gtx6970 and I got the daughters 66 Valiant running today so we had to go for a quick trip to make sure it was ready to put the glass in. The new 360 build ran flawlessly (which was built by @69Bee)…. after the snafu was discovered…. Ride height and alignment tomorrow. Thanks Bill and Dave!
Story in itself. Bill also helped go to northern Az to strip a 4 door with factory AC so I could convert this to a "factory" AC car. It is a factory V8, bucket console car but only had an AM radio as the only other option.
Thanks to @gtx6970 for help today the torque built “360” Commando is in daughters ‘66 Valiant Signet (Sunshine) and mocking it up. This is quickly becoming my favorite car of the herd.
What no one is saying though is how many times they have banged their damn heads on the roof getting in the front seat :)..... What the Uncle Tony's episode on them.
Honestly out of our stable I would pick the daughters Duster every time to drive on a daily basis. It is a nicely balanced car that still feels great on today's roads and parking lots.
With any luck I’ll be retired this fall. Plan to do odd jobs. One is to live in Durango for a summer and try to get a seasonal job on the Durango and Silverton railroad.
