Interesting. I don't know anything about what other examples look like or have anyone around to bounce these questions off of. I just know these cars were never perfect and am curious about my car's history is all. Is the red on your tail panel RED or kind of purple like mine? I assume these...
I know these didn’t even come out perfect on day one but wonder what you guys think. Also this paint on the rear trim panel looks brushed and the wrong color. Like purple instead of red. I don’t have anything to compare to around here in person. Thoughts?
Interesting topic. I was tangentially involved the industry during that Burger King stuff. That entire campaign was a real gamble to attempt a completely different paradigm in advertisement for a franchise that was nosediving in market share. And it worked. Totally saved Burger King at the time...
It's just crimped and smashed. A real nasty job when they could have easily plugged it properly. I'm pretty certain if I attempt to unfold it it's just going to crack off and then I've got a jagged hole in the cap.
I’m going to get a proper vapor separator and clean new lines. It’s got a nice return underneath line might as well use it. Seems plenty of guys have needed and had success with this setup on 383 cars. It's just another $40 for me to clean it up with the correct parts.
What aftermarket vapor...
You mean the sending unit? Yeah. Not so great but it works for now. Otherwise the knot is no different from the routing for a vapor separator. Just ugly.
Tank to pump, pump to filter, filter to carb. Return off the filter. No?
This is exactly what I think happened with my 383-4v car. Not only did they re-route the return line to the short vent and cap the sender return nipple, but added this aftermarket three nipple contraption instead of an actual MOPAR fuel separator. When I redo all of the bad plumbing I am...
Which for me would be the correct sending unit with smaller lines. But actually only smaller rubber portions because the steel lines are stock and correct. Which will be fairly easy if the sending unit job goes well.
Upgrades is my guess. It’s as highly optioned as a factory 383 came performance wise with the A31 package but as far as I know that had no influence on fuel lines. But you’re correct about the larger lines, which he mentioned in his service diary.
My plan was to fix the sending unit and route...
