If it's boiling power steering fluid it will also boil fuel in the carb which can get expensive.
If it was me I would remove the rad cap, block the wheels and run the engine to operating temperature and see if there are any bubbles, increase rpm to 1500 or more if need be.
To reduce the stumble increase the ignition timing to 17 degrees take notes on how it works and then try 19 degrees (with the vacuum advance hooked up and plugged)
Adjust the idle speed back to 750 rpm
I opened up the ports on my original exhaust manifolds to the same size as the exhaust ports on the heads for a smooth transition.
My M1 dual plane (stealth) intake manifold also looks original.
Did you try the propane in between the intake manifold and the cylinder head right where the intake ports are located?
Maybe there is some extra paint there.
